What we're looking for

As an experienced professional, you combine a strong technical foundation with strategic insight and know how to translate complex issues into smart, practical solutions. You are proficient in designing civil structures from preliminary design through to detailed design, working with both precision and overview. Additionally, you are proactive, a strong communicator, eager to learn, and intrinsically motivated, while continuously staying up to date with new developments within the field. Knowledge of the Dutch language and/or experience with Dutch construction and working practices is an advantage. Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:

- A completed HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree in Civil Engineering

- At least 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering structures

- Experience with software packages such as Revit, AutoCAD, and ACC

- Experience with BIM methodology

- Proficient in designing civil structures from preliminary design to detailed design, according to project specifications and guidelines, in a multidisciplinary context (road and rail design, architecture) within a BIM environment

- Possess sound knowledge of Dynamo and similar scripting languages

The role

As a mid-level modeller, you contribute to innovative and smart solutions for WSP's leading infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

As a modeller, you shape civil structures in concrete and steel and play a central role in our challenging infra projects. You work intensively with colleagues and clients on designs that vary from straightforward to highly complex, from custom solutions to large-scale and iconic infrastructure.

In doing so, you contribute to leading projects in the Netherlands, such as ViA15, the renovated Amsterdam Centraal, and various ProRail assignments, including the underpasses at Maarsbergen. In this role, you often operate at the intersection of design and execution and experience firsthand how your designs become reality. You develop integral solutions that are not only technically sound and feasible, but also sustainable and economically responsible - for both contractors and public clients.
