Mid-level System Administrator (remote)

In this team, you will work for two clients in a complex and business-critical ICT environment with approximately 2,600 users. Together with six fellow system administrators, you are responsible for the continuous maintenance, optimization, and development of this environment. Additionally, you will carry out management and project activities for these clients. You will perform your duties largely remote, working closely with colleagues and the client. Once a month, there is a team day in Utrecht or Aalsmeer.

• Microsoft 365, Azure, and Endpoint Management

• Technologies such as Intune, ControlUp, and Microsoft Defender

• Management, monitoring, security, compliance

• Client contact and stakeholder management

You will have a lot of contact with the clients: you coordinate, plan activities, and think proactively about improvements. These clients are a large and dynamic organization, making stakeholder management an essential part of your work. You will perform on-call shifts to ensure the continuity of the environment, meaning you are also available outside of office hours.

You will be part of a diverse client team, consisting of the account team (Account Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Operations Manager, Contract Manager, Architect, and Project Leader) and the executing teams SSD, Workplace Management, and System Administration. The composition of the team is diverse in age, background, and experience, which ensures a pleasant and educational working environment.

• good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;

• willing to travel to Utrecht or Aalsmeer once a month. 

• at least two years of work experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role;

• good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure; 

• experience with Endpoint Management, preferably with Intune; 

• experience with PowerShell;

• basic knowledge of security and compliance, for example with Microsoft Defender;

• knowledge of ITIL and preferably DevOps methodologies;

• a process-oriented, analytical, and proactive attitude;

• experience with ControlUp and/or PRINCE2 is a plus;

• willingness to work on-call shifts (24×7);
