What we're looking for

· HBO (Higher Professional Education) degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Civil Engineering, or similar.

· 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.

· Basic knowledge of energy infrastructure or cable systems.

· Affinity with design and engineering processes.

· Good command of the Dutch and English languages.

Nice to have

· Internship or graduation experience within the energy or infrastructure sector.

· Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar design tools.

· Affinity with TenneT projects and the energy transition.

The role

The energy transition requires a massive expansion of the Dutch high-voltage grid. Together with clients such as TenneT, WSP works on new high-voltage connections that reliably transport sustainable energy and prepare the Netherlands for the future.

As a High Voltage Cable Engineer, you will contribute to feasibility studies and Basic Designs for underground high-voltage connections. You will support technical analyses, route studies, and design issues, and under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will develop into a specialist within the high-voltage world. In doing so, you will work in multidisciplinary project teams where technology, environment, and feasibility converge.

What you'll do

Developing routes and designs for high-voltage cable connections.

Supporting feasibility studies, variant analyses, and Basic Designs.

Performing technical and spatial analyses.

Preparing design documentation and technical reports.

Processing project requirements and design data in Relatics.

Collaborating with disciplines such as Environment, Civil, etc.

Able to travel to our offices in both Arnhem and Breda

Which tools do you use?

· ArcGIS or QGIS for route studies and spatial analyses.

· Relatics for requirements, interface, and verification management.

· AutoCAD for route and detail designs (optional).

· Civil 3D for cable routes and spatial integration (optional).
