Medior Process Engineer

As a Medior Process Engineer in our young company, you will work together with our team to ensure that our unique solution within steel recycling is brought from innovation to scaling up.

You will work independently within the project team on the process technology challenges at hand. You are part of maturing the experimental solution that we offer to our customer. You will go through the various engineering phases from concept to actual operation, during which external parties will also be involved later this year. Think of:

• Translating research results into an industrial process.

• Implementing efficiency improvements in collaboration with R&D and production.

• Drawing up and maintaining heat and mass balances for our sub-processes.

• Designing and specifying required utilities, such as electricity, gases, purification plants, and water.

• Performing visual inspections of the various systems.

• Guiding external engineering parties in the field of process technology.

Your average workday does not consist so much of modeling: together with our R&D department and the project leader, you will actively seek ways to make our core business more efficient. Your practical approach ensures that you can also step outside your "usual" duties to optimally facilitate the team in achieving the shared result.

You report to the project engineers of the various sub-projects.

What we ask:

• A practical, hands-on mentality: you can regularly be found on the shop floor and in the factory.

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• 3-5 years of work experience in process engineering, preferably in the chemical, metal, or recycling industry. Sufficient experience to independently tackle all process technology challenges.

• Demonstrable experience with process modeling (e.g., Aspen Plus), PFD/P&ID, and industrial safety standards (ATEX, HAZOP).

• You command the English language in speech and writing.

• You are entitled to work in the Netherlands. Language level B1 is a plus.
