Merchandise Planning Intern

E-commerce is developing at lightning speed — and at Wehkamp Retail Group, we move along with it full of energy. Our way of buying is also changing at a high pace. While intuition and experience still count, we are increasingly basing our decisions on data and smart analyses.

During your internship, you will become part of one of our Merchandise departments, a crucial link within the Buying & Sales organization. Together, we ensure that our customers find exactly what they are looking for — at the right time, in the right quantity.

You will support the entire purchasing and inventory process and learn how to make data-driven commercial choices. Think of responding to seasons, trends, and changing buying behavior. This is how you will develop into an expert in inventory planning and merchandising.

Together with the Inventory Controller(s) and (Senior) Merchandise Planner(s), you will contribute directly to the success of your department and the results of Wehkamp Retail Group.

We are looking for an intern who is available from February 2027 for an internship of at least 20 weeks. You are pursuing a relevant HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in the direction of (business) economics, fashion, (technical) business administration, or business administration.

The ideal candidate possesses the following competencies:

• Analytically strong and able to make well-considered decisions
• Result-oriented and commercially minded
• Enterprising and customer-oriented, with an eye for opportunities and improvements
• Communicatively skilled and proficient in both Dutch and English
• Good knowledge of Excel and a passion for data-driven working
