Retail Consultant Intern (working internship)

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern for a period of approximately 6 months. During this working internship, you will fully participate within the Retail Consultancy team and get the chance to gain practical experience within the food safety industry with a focus on the retail sector.

As an intern, you will support consultants on various projects in the fields of food safety, monitoring, and quality management. You will learn how retailers and importers are supported in improving processes and ensuring product safety within the chain. In doing so, you will receive a lot of responsibility and work together with colleagues, customers, and international laboratories.

During this internship, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Supporting the preparation of monitoring plans for various food products
• Researching suitable analyses for various product categories
• Assessing analysis reports and identifying deviations
• Supporting consultants with advisory questions and projects
• Thinking along about improvements to internal processes and working methods
• Contributing to projects regarding food safety and quality improvement within the chain

In addition to working within the team, there is room to further develop yourself and to give shape to personal learning goals or internship assignments from your studies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who wants to learn and gets energy from a dynamic working environment.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You are an HBO or WO student, preferably in the direction of Food & Business, Food Safety, Food Technology, Nutrition & Dietetics, or similar
• You have an affinity with food, retail, and food safety
• You work accurately and have an analytical eye
• You are communicatively skilled and can collaborate well
• You are proactive and dare to take initiative
• You have a good command of both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written
• You are available for an internship period of approximately 6 months
