The role
Are you passionate about fashion, product development, and commerce? Do you want to experience how a private clothing collection evolves from the first sketch and fabric sample to sales success in the webshop? Then the Buying Private Label Fashion internship at Wehkamp Retail Group is the place for you.
As a Private Label intern, you will strengthen the Buying & Product Development team of our own brands. You will learn how commercial decisions are made and perform tasks in the areas of sourcing, sample evaluation, fits, marketing, and supply chain. In close coordination with buyers, designers, and fit technologists, you will ensure a commercially strong collection for millions of customers.
What you'll do
During your internship, you will be responsible for a concrete and versatile set of tasks:
- Collection & Trend Content: Performing trend research and creating inspiring content focused on fashion and trends for our own brands.
- Order & Progress Monitoring: Onboarding orders into our systems and meticulously monitoring progress and delivery dates.
- Sample & Fit Management: Managing the sample process (protos, fit samples, production samples). You will prepare fitting sessions and record feedback regarding fit, detailing, and fabric quality.
- Supplier Contact & Performance Analysis: Maintaining contact with international manufacturers and analyzing supplier performance based on sales, returns, and reviews — so that we can always buy smarter together.
- Marketing & Category Activation: Preparing marketing activities and product promotions for your category, perfectly aligned with the latest fashion trends and sales moments.
- Product Content & Launch: Entering and checking product specifications (size charts, fabric compositions, washing instructions) for a flawless go-live on the platform.
Aanvullende informatie
In addition to an attractive internship allowance, you will get the chance to develop professionally in an inspiring and educational environment, where there is also plenty of room for fun and team activities. You will get the chance to play an active role in a small, dynamic, and friendly team and gain valuable experience within a fast-growing organization.
