Concrete Repair Foreman

At Gebr. Van Kessel STEP (Special Techniques and Products), we deal with the repair, sealing, and sustainability of concrete structures. This can be to both bridges as well as tunnels and/or viaducts, but also apartment complexes or parking garages.

We have maintenance contracts throughout the Netherlands. Whereby we take on the full maintenance for a period of 4 to 5 years. We also deal frequently with renovation projects that are often long-term and planned in advance. Think of the recently renovated Spijkenisserbrug. We have also started with a part of the Brienenoordbrug and are going to start with the Hartelbrug. All important river crossings that connect the cities with each other.

As a foreman, you are a working foreman. You lead a team of up to 5 people. When necessary, also the subcontractors. In this role, you are responsible not only for working neatly and safely on location, but also for ensuring that we complete the project according to schedule. In doing so, you document the activities using photos and checklists. You regularly have contact with the site manager to discuss progress. Depending on the size of the projects, you also manage the kickoff with the team during a project and discuss the handover with the night/day shift. No leadership experience yet, but you have the ambitions? No problem, your site manager is also your manager and will guide you intensively during the first period. We also have you follow various training courses.

Do you have experience as a foreman, but not yet as a concrete repairer? Then we are going to teach you this trade. Within our company, we work with various techniques such as dry and wet spraying of concrete, manual concrete repairs, conservation, and injection. Additionally, we specialize in expansion joints, bitumen work, and wearing courses. Are you looking forward to learning new techniques?

As a person, you are someone who likes to achieve results in a team. In this, you do not find it difficult to address someone or give a compliment. You also have a high sense of responsibility and pay attention to details. Details in both the completion of a project and in the administration. Furthermore;

• Do you have experience as a concrete repairer and coach a sports team on weekends, for example, or do you have experience as a foreman and would like to make a switch towards concrete repair;

• You are available full-time;

• Are you in possession of a driving license B.

• Are you also willing to work on weekends and/or nights (Naturally in consultation).
