Traineeship in the Netherlands

At KWS Zwolle-Leek, we offer a traineeship in which you, together with an experienced mentor, work purposefully on your future within Civil Engineering & Infrastructure (GWW).

This traineeship is intended for starters with 0 to 2 years of work experience in Civil Engineering. Together with your mentor, you determine the direction of your development. You will gain experience within various disciplines, such as:

• Work preparation;

• Execution;

• Estimation;

• Tender management.

By working in multiple roles and environments, you discover where your strengths and interests lie. In this way, you develop into a fully qualified professional within GWW and we build together on your further career within KWS and/or VolkerWessels. There is plenty of room for personal development and career growth.

The program lasts approximately 2 years. Additionally:

• You work in different departments within the KWS Zwolle-Leek location to see as many sides of our company as possible;

• You are part of the Young Professionals group within KWS (project visits, knowledge sharing, and networking);

• You follow a curriculum including training from the VolkerWessels Academy;

• You can become a member of Jong VolkerWessels: a network of young professionals within VolkerWessels that organizes all kinds of interesting activities, such as project visits, workshops, and think tanks.

To ensure your traineeship runs successfully, we provide good guidance and strong employment conditions. You can count on:

• A starting salary from €2,700 gross per 4 weeks;

• Employment conditions according to the CAO Bouw & Infra, including 40 vacation days;

• A laptop and phone;

• An electric company car with a charging pass for all of Europe, matching our sustainable ambition;

KWS Infra Zwolle-Leek location realizes small and large infrastructure projects from design to execution and maintenance in the provinces of Friesland, Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel, Flevoland, and in the northern part of the province of Gelderland. Independently as a location or together with other parts within KWS or VolkerWessels. The types of projects are diverse, such as road construction, hydraulic engineering, earthmoving, contributing to the construction of data centers and wind farms, or maintenance of infrastructure objects.
