Architecture Graduation Project Internship – Architectural Detailing

Help me develop the architectural standard details of the future.

Are you an MBO or HBO Architecture student looking for an internship or graduation project in which you can make a real impact? With us, you get the chance to help build a standard that will be applied in future projects. You will combine technical drafting with collaboration, analysis, and—depending on your education level—research.

Within our organization, we want to further develop and uniformize our architectural standard detailing. You will play an important role in this.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Inventorying existing architectural details.

• Developing and drawing standard details for roofs and walls.

• Consulting with our drafters regarding the best technical solutions.

• Establishing a uniform set of standard details to be applied within future projects.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues and will be given plenty of room to think along about the best technical solutions.

This assignment is suitable as both a working internship and a graduation project for MBO and HBO students. We will align the content with your studies and learning objectives.

As an MBO student, the emphasis lies on the practical development and standardization of architectural details. You translate existing knowledge into clear and applicable drawings and work together with our drafters toward a high-quality end result.

As an HBO student, you will go one step further. In addition to developing the standard details, you will research which details are most suitable technically, physically, and practically. You will compare different solutions, substantiate your choices, and advise on how our standard detailing can be further optimized.

Possible research questions include, for example:

• How can standard details for roof and wall constructions be optimized in terms of quality, feasibility, and efficiency?

• Which details offer the best balance between architectural quality, regulations, manufacturability, and costs?

• How can standardization contribute to a more efficient engineering process and consistent quality within projects?

You are a student of Architecture, smart building, built environment, or another technical field of study, and your profile aligns with our challenge (MBO or HBO). Furthermore:

• You are interested in architectural detailing and technical drawing.

• You enjoy collaborating and taking initiative.

• You are curious and enjoy thinking along about technical solutions.

• A varied internship or graduation project with a lot of responsibility.

• Good guidance from experienced colleagues.

During your graduation process, you will be guided by the manager of the estimation department, who will support you in both the substantive and practical aspects of the research.
