The role
Werkvoorbereider / Detail Engineer – Safety & Security Solutions
Build the technology behind safety!
Imagine: a camera system monitoring a business park. An intercom solution in a government building. A sprinkler system protecting people and property.
All these systems have one thing in common:
Behind the scenes lies a technical core that connects everything together.
Within Bosch, you design and prepare that technical foundation.
You work for all Business Lines within Bosch Energy & Building Solutions. At the moment, the focus is particularly on Safety solutions.
There, you realize custom solutions that contribute daily to the safety of people, buildings, and business processes.
- What you design, gets built.
- What you prepare, gets installed.
- What you deliver, must function immediately.
Your role: from design to reality
As a Werkvoorbereider / Detail Engineer, you are the connecting link between engineering, assembly, and execution.
You translate sold systems into detailed technical designs that colleagues in the workshop and in the field can use immediately.
You work on custom control cabinets that function as the technical heart of various safety solutions, such as:
- sprinkler systems
- camera systems
- intercom solutions
- access control systems
- integrated safety and security platforms
You ensure that all components come together into one working solution.
Because you:
- want to design technology that is actually built
- want to see visible results from your work
- want to collaborate with skilled professionals
- want to grow within a professional technical environment
- want to make an impact on safety and reliability
This is not a role for someone who only draws. This is a role for someone who wants to guide technology from design to realization.
What you'll do
This is not just a drafting role. You are actively involved in the entire process:
from design, to work preparation, to assembly, to delivery.
You coordinate daily with:
- Project leaders
- Assembly workers
- Field Service Engineers
- Technical specialists
When projects change, you adapt the designs. When questions arise, you provide direction. When new solutions are needed, you make sure everyone can move forward.
You are the one who makes technology clear and executable.
From AutoCAD drawing to assembly floor
- Designing custom electrotechnical solutions
- Developing designs in AutoCAD Electrical
- Preparing assembly drawings according to project specifications
- Designing control cabinets and system solutions
- Preparing material lists
- Determining required capacity and materials
- Preparing work for the assembly floor
- Directing and supporting assembly engineering activities
- Providing work instructions to assembly workers
- Checking assembled systems
- Processing changes during projects
- Monitoring quality, standardization, and executability
- Supervising safe working in accordance with VCA guidelines
Thanks to your preparation, colleagues can build efficiently and projects can be executed without surprises.

In their own words
About the company & team
Bosch is not an organization driven by shareholders or short-term results. Bosch is a stable foundation that invests in:
- long-term cooperation
- quality over speed
- personal growth
- sustainable relationships with employees
You notice that every day.
You work in a professional environment where colleagues help each other, share knowledge, and are collectively responsible for the final result.
That is why we do not see a first-year contract as a temporary phase, but as a careful start to a collaboration that must work for both parties.
Here, you don't just build technology. Here, you build a future.
The environment: modern, technical, and team-oriented
You work within a specialized engineering and assembly environment where designs actually come to life.
Bosch has its own assembly floor with modern tools, materials, and production facilities.
You will join a team of about nine colleagues where collaboration is central.
That means:
- short communication lines
- lots of technical knowledge
- quick switching
- helping each other when needed
Here, you see the result of your work emerging every day.
