You possess at least an HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thinking, preferably in civil engineering;
You have experience with modern contract forms and feel at home in the collaborative working method of construction teams;
You have a background in GWW (earthworks, waterworks, and civil engineering), where experience with civil engineering structures or concrete construction is a major advantage;
A salary range between €5,447 and €7,030 gross per 4 weeks.
Maximum relaxation: No less than 43 days off (25 vacation, 15 roster-free, and 3 short-term sickness days).
Sustainable on the road: An electric lease car with a charging pass for all of Europe. And are you going on holiday with a caravan? Then you can temporarily swap the car for a petrol variant.
Top conditions: Everything that the luxurious Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement has to offer (think of an ironclad pension and good allowances).
Will you help build the most defining infrastructure in Brabant and Zeeland? At KWS Roosendaal, you will take the lead on complex combination works where road construction and civil engineering structures meet. From Rijkswaterstaat's renovation challenges to large-scale replacement projects: you bring stability and expertise to our largest projects.
Project Responsibility: You will independently manage multidisciplinary projects from €10 to €20 million. For integral megaprojects (up to €100 million), you will be part of the management team and monitor the course on the major components.
Integral Control: You are ultimately responsible for project control (time, money, quality). You lead your team with a people-oriented approach; you facilitate your work preparers and executors so they can perform optimally and you stimulate a safe working environment.
Stakeholder Management: You are the solid interlocutor for Rijkswaterstaat and provincial clients. You understand the political interests and translate these into a tight, workable execution on-site.
In the Roosendaal region, we are no standard road builder. We work on a challenging portfolio where the focus lies on asphalt projects, but where our strength truly becomes visible in the combination. We have specialized in-house knowledge of concrete (Aquavia) and complex sewerage/pumping stations (MJ Oomen). Where those specialisms intersect, you are the designated Project Manager.
We are fully committed to the enormous R&R challenge (Replacement & Renovation) and to large projects where we prefer to work in a Construction Team with our clients. You will be given the space to shape the transition to modern contract forms (UAV-gc, 2-phase) in practice.
You are a pragmatic technician with a strategic and financial outlook. You get energy from the 'puzzle' that large infra projects bring with them and you know how to keep your team motivated even under high pressure.
You have the mentality of a builder: 'Feet in the mud, head in the calculations'.
Working at KWS Roosendaal means the striking power of a market leader with the short lines and people-oriented culture of a regional branch.
Best of both worlds: A job at the only corporate that feels like a regional contractor. You get the entrepreneurial freedom of a local player, supported by the latest equipment and the enormous knowledge of the VolkerWessels group.
Key role in Innovation: You will have a front-row seat to the transition to construction teams and 2-phase contracts in a region that is leading the way.
Growth & Development: Access to courses and training, both via the VolkerWessels Academy and externally.

Strong in road construction, waterworks, and sewerage with branches in West-Brabant and Zeeland. From small-scale local to extensive complex multidisciplinary projects. Together with our subsidiaries Aquavia in Sas van Gent and M.J. Oomen sewerage and concrete technology, the versatile KWS Infra Roosendaal/ Sas van Gent realizes infrastructure on every scale.
Whether it is about constructing a highway or paving a yard or an industrial estate; we offer a tailor-made solution. We also feel at home around the water, with for example the construction of marinas and dikes or the maintenance of quays and sheet pile walls. Underground, sewerage holds no secrets for us. Maintenance of pumping stations, pipes of various kinds, and specialist issues in the field of sewerage are our daily bread.
KWS is a VolkerWessels company. Every day, more than 2000 driven colleagues work on the accessibility and livability of the Netherlands. Together, we design, build, maintain, manage, and operate infrastructure. Both on and under the road, and at the water, we literally create better connections. With the best people and our own (electric) equipment, KWS works on the sustainable infrastructure of tomorrow.
