Design Project Leader (Civil Engineering)

We are looking for a structured and communicative professional with technical insight.

• HBO/WO working and thinking level (preferably civil engineering/architecture)
• At least 5 years of experience in civil engineering (GWW) design of (public) space (roads, sewerage, water management, civil structures)
• Demonstrable experience with project management and team coordination
• Knowledge and experience working within integrated contract forms such as UAV-gc and construction teams
• Familiar with SE (Systems Engineering) requirements management and risk management
• Familiar with AutoCAD/Civil 3D drawing packages for managing designers
• Knowledge of construction costs and the development of cost estimates
• Independent, strong communicator, and result-oriented
• Experience with RAW methodology and/or UAV-gc contract forms

Within the Infra Design team, covering the areas of design and surveying & monitoring, various civil engineering challenges are worked out. You will perform your tasks at our Purmerend location. Projects are prepared through to execution, going through all associated phases. Providing management for design support as a project leader or design leader within integrated contract forms for our clients, including the affiliated contracting company of Strukton, plays an important role here.

As a Design Project Leader Civil Engineering-Public Space, you are responsible for the integral management of design activities within infrastructure projects. You guide design teams, monitor quality, ensure cohesion between disciplines, and act as the substantive point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project management.

Your duties include:

• Coordinating and managing design teams within civil engineering and public space projects.
• Translating project goals into design strategy, design plans, and assessment criteria
• Monitoring design quality, systems engineering, risks, and verification & validation
• Coordination with disciplines such as civil, geotechnics, traffic, water, urban planning, and environment
• Consulting with clients (municipality, province, RWS, and contractors)
• Planning, monitoring, and reporting on project progress, quality, and budget
• Contributing to tenders, integral design documentation, and contract documents (RAW/UAV-gc)
• Advising clients and internal stakeholders on design choices and optimizations.
