Civil engineering internship dike reinforcement KIJK

As a student of Civil Engineering, Middle Management, or similar looking for an internship in work preparation and execution? At Van Hattum en Blankevoort, we are looking for an intern for February 2027 for work preparation and execution of one of our larger projects, namely the reinforcement and raising of the IJsseldijk in the Krimpenerwaard ( KIJK ).

Commissioned by the Hoogheemraadschap van Schieland en de Krimpenerwaard, Van Hattum en Blankevoort, together with Boskalis, VSF, Gebr. de Koning and KWS, are improving 10.5 kilometers of dike along the Hollandsche IJssel. With this, we protect the Krimpenerwaard against the water. The dike no longer meets the strict requirements of today.

In this complex environment, we are going to reinforce the dike using innovative techniques. We do this, among other things, by using the Gyropress foundation methods, which have been specially developed for vibration-sensitive environments.

During this internship, you will be part of the project team within work preparation and execution. You will get the chance to learn the trade by doing it yourself. The first part of your internship will be mainly in work preparation and subsequently also in execution. During your internship, you are an extension of your fellow work preparers and site managers and you will get the opportunity to work out small issues (independently). Of course, there is room to devote time to your internship assignments and your colleagues will guide you so that you can carry out your work well and safely!

• An internship allowance of € 550 to € 650 per month.
