Learn more. Do more. More career. That is doing an internship at Dura Vermeer.
From planning in the office to working outdoors: discover how an infra project comes to life. Are you studying Civil Engineering, Middle Management Infra/Civil Engineering (GWW), or Built Environment? During your internship at Dura Vermeer Infra, you will put your knowledge into practice and learn from experienced colleagues.
This will be your internship
At Dura Vermeer Infra in the Oude Meer region, there are primarily internship positions in work preparation and execution. Together, we will look at which available position aligns with your studies, interests, and learning goals.
In work preparation, you discover what is needed before the outdoor work begins. Think of preparing activities, researching materials, and creating schedules. In execution, you shadow the site manager and learn how the work is organized at the project location, with attention to safety, quality, and progress.
You will work together with experienced colleagues, receive good guidance, and gradually take on more responsibility yourself. Naturally, there is room for your ideas and school assignments. Which projects and activities you get to know depends on your internship period and the available positions.
You will be working at Dura Vermeer Infra North West Region. Our office is located in Oude Meer, but our projects are spread across a larger working area. Within our region, we work on the construction and maintenance of, among other things, roads, bridges, sewers, and quays, with attention to sustainability and the environment.
Depending on your field of study, you will work in the office, at a project location, or both. During the introduction, we will discuss which available internship position aligns with your studies, interests, and travel distance.
You are following an mbo, hbo, or wo program in the direction of Civil Engineering, Middle Management Earth, Road & Water Engineering (GWW), Built Environment, or something similar;
You are looking for an internship for at least 4 days per week;
You are proactive and dare to ask questions;
You are flexible, can deal with changes, and work in an organized manner;
Your heart beats faster for infra projects.
A nice internship allowance of €700 gross per month based on 40 hours per week;
Build your future: your internship is the perfect starting point to progress to a traineeship or starter job within Dura Vermeer;
Space to develop yourself and let your own initiatives be heard;
Time for your school assignments/exams;
Good guidance from an experienced colleague or manager in your field. During your internship, you will work together with pleasant colleagues who ensure a fun and professional working atmosphere;
Doing an internship and having fun: from the introduction on the orientation day to fun activities and project visits with colleagues and fellow interns.

Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.
With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.
Our ambitions are great. And we only achieve them with engaged people. That is why we invest in good employerhood and a working environment in which you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe, and speak up. So that you get the best out of yourself and make more together with us.
