Are you someone who always maintains an overview and reacts sharply in busy situations? Do you enjoy ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes AND having direct contact with visitors? Then you are the control room operator we are looking for in our new team in Amsterdam!
We manage parking in Amsterdam: approximately 40 parking garages, 10 parking lots, and 10 bicycle storage facilities spread throughout the city. Together with the employees of Pantar, the municipality's social enterprise, we form one team that ensures a smooth and welcoming parking experience. In the control room, you play a key role in this.
As a control room operator, you are the primary point of contact for visitors of multiple parking facilities in Amsterdam. From our 24/7 control room, you maintain the overview using modern technology: you communicate via intercom, camera surveillance, and advanced systems to help visitors quickly and professionally. You supervise safety, traffic flow, parking movements, and payment processing, and intervene when necessary.
At the same time, you support the team leader. You provide direction during busy periods or malfunctions, distribute tasks, and ensure your colleagues know what needs to be done. If the team leader is not present, you step forward as the first point of contact for the team. In this way, you work together to ensure the operation runs smoothly day and night.
It doesn't stop there. You actively contribute ideas on how we can make the work in the control room and the parking facilities smarter, more data-driven, and more customer-oriented. With your commitment, you combine efficiency with humanity: switching gears quickly where necessary, but always with an eye for the visitor and your colleagues.
Of course, you don't do this alone. Together with your colleagues in the control room and the team leaders, you ensure an optimal parking experience in Amsterdam 24/7. This means working in a full continuous rotation with morning, afternoon/evening, and night shifts. Varied, challenging, and in the heart of the city. Do you already have experience as a dispatcher, or with camera surveillance and security? Then there is a good chance you will quickly feel at home in this role.
Even if you have experience as a dispatcher, or in the world of camera surveillance and security, we cordially invite you to apply - your background fits perfectly with this role.
You will work for a versatile integrated service provider within the facility real estate and parking market. For clients throughout the country. Our people are the face of PCH. Service providers who go that extra mile. With attention. With craftsmanship. And with a smile. Because we find a fifth impression at least as important as the first. And we believe sincerely in engaged and personal service.
As an employer, we also truly pay attention to you. That might sound logical, but with us, it is not just something we say. We are curious about who you are, what you are good at, and where you want to grow. We continue to engage in conversation with you. We know each other. And we do it together.
Your DNA matches ours. You are someone who takes responsibility, is open to feedback, and likes to be in motion. Someone who dares to learn and to do. Your ideas are welcome and initiative is appreciated. The match does not stop at PCH. You are at least as good a match with our client. Because that is where it happens. In the client's building. Where our work matters. Under the eye of the end user. That is where you make the difference and you are, every single day, the visiting card of PCH.
Do we match and have you become enthusiastic? Great! Then don't wait any longer and apply!
