The role
As a Control Room Specialist you ensure a smooth flow in the Warehouse. You do this by deploying resources and people effectively and efficiently so that the process runs like a well-oiled machine. Your end goal: all packages out the door on time.
What you'll do
- You monitor the progress of the operation and identify early on where planning, capacity, or performance is coming under pressure.
- You provide advice based on data (volume, flow, performance) and liaise with the right teams to get the operation back on track.
- You coordinate during disruptions: making quick decisions, engaging the right specialists, escalating where necessary, and monitoring follow-up until it is resolved, and you ensure follow-up afterwards so that the incident does not recur.
- You keep stakeholders engaged with clear updates and advice, so that decisions are made quickly and with the right information.
- You monitor the order flow: you monitor order statuses and exceptions, prioritize where necessary, and coordinate deviations or upcoming deadlines with the operation.
- You help build the Control Room by standardizing work agreements and incident processes, securing knowledge (documentation/onboarding), and strengthening daily management with reports/dashboards.
Functie-eisen
- You communicate clearly and liaise easily with different departments.
- You remain calm under pressure and maintain an overview, even when many things are happening at once.
- You dare to make decisions and take responsibility for progress and follow-up.
- You enjoy working with data and make choices that you can substantiate.
- You are available part-time and on weekends (1 mandatory weekend day / 2 days would be even better)
- Public holidays are also working days (to compensate, you have extra days off).
