At Vlisco, we combine craftsmanship with innovation to continuously improve our production processes. As a Senior Technology Development Engineer, you will develop and introduce new technologies, products, and processes, including digital textile technologies.

You will guide projects from initial research and first tests through to implementation in production. Together with colleagues from Manufacturing, Product, Design, and Quality, you will translate new ideas into practical solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Developing new technologies and products

• Identifying opportunities and translating research questions from Product, Manufacturing, Sales, and Design into project proposals, trials, technical specifications, and innovative solutions.

Leading development projects

• Guiding multidisciplinary projects from the initial concept through to implementation and release for production, while monitoring planning, progress, costs, and results.

Realizing implementations

• Assessing technical feasibility, testing materials and processes, drafting machine specifications, and coordinating the transition of new products and technologies to production.

Advising on technical improvements

• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to establish project requirements, solve complex product and process issues, and improve production performance.

Ensuring sustainability and safety

• Ensuring that innovations and improvements comply with applicable HSE requirements, laws and regulations, and Vlisco's principles regarding sustainability and social responsibility.

Sharing knowledge and expertise

• Documenting results, preparing technical reports, and transferring knowledge to relevant departments. Additionally, you will build relationships with and maintain contacts with suppliers, manufacturers, and specialized institutes and universities.
