The role

Do you want to work in a high-tech building where technology, data, and social impact converge? And do you get energy from analyzing and improving building performance in terms of comfort, safety, and energy? Then this is your role.

As a Performance Engineer Measurement and Control Technology, you will work at MEET RIVM, part of Strukton Nederland, and be responsible for the management and operation of the new RIVM building at the Utrecht Science Park. A unique, technically complex environment in which you make a difference with data and smart analyses.

Your role is primarily tactical in nature. You steer based on performance, identify trends, and initiate improvements. In doing so, you are the connecting link between data, technology, and execution. You work closely with on-site maintenance teams, service partners, engineers, and project management. Based on your dashboards and analyses, everyone can steer using the same, reliable insights.

Because MEET RIVM is still under construction, you will also receive plenty of room to contribute ideas regarding working methods, tooling, and the further development of this position.

In this role, you combine measurement and control technology with data analysis and performance management. Your responsibilities include:

What you'll do

  • Analyzing measurement and trend data and translating this into improvement proposals for measurement and control technology and energy performance.
  • Setting up, further developing, and managing dashboards and KPI reports within GBS, BMS, and EMS environments.
  • Daily monitoring of GBS, BMS, EMS, and other technical systems, including trend analyses and identifying deviations.
  • Coordinating with on-site maintenance teams and service partners regarding priorities, actions, and planning. You initiate improvement actions and monitor progress.
  • Testing, validating, and (arranging) calibration of sensors and control loops, so that data and control quality are reliable.
  • Collaborating with engineers, project leaders, and maintenance teams to implement structural improvements.
  • Drafting analyses and advice on sustainable and efficient solutions, such as setpoints, control strategies, and energy and comfort optimization.
  • Recording analyses, choices, and results and contributing to periodic reports and management information via dashboards.
