  • A gross annual salary between € 52,400 and € 75,400, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • Plenty of room for personal initiative and responsibility.

  • A position in which you contribute directly to the development of a future-proof organic meat supply chain.

  • Collaboration with engaged colleagues and supply chain partners, with short lines of communication and a pragmatic way of working.

The role

Making an impact together with confidence. That is working at De Groene Weg.

A strong organic meat supply chain begins with good relationships with livestock farmers and a supply that aligns with what the market needs. As an Account Manager Livestock at De Groene Weg, you bring those two together. You ensure a reliable supply of organic pigs, cattle, and lambs while simultaneously building sustainable collaborations with entrepreneurs in the livestock sector.

You combine relationship management with supply chain management. You discuss developments with livestock farmers, think along regarding optimization and sustainability, and help entrepreneurs who want to make the transition to organic. At the same time, you work with colleagues and supply chain partners on a stable schedule and on the further development of our organic supply chains.

It is precisely that combination that makes this position interesting: you work close to the practice, get the space to identify opportunities yourself, and see concretely what your choices mean for livestock farmers, De Groene Weg, and the growth of organic meat in the Netherlands.

What you'll do

You are responsible for the relationship with organic livestock farmers and for a supply that is reliable, predictable, and suitable for the supply chain. In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from, among others, planning, logistics, and supply chain development.

  • You analyze and manage the weekly supply of organic livestock.

  • You establish an efficient and stable supply schedule for pigs, cattle, and lambs.

  • You maintain long-term relationships with existing organic livestock farmers and discuss opportunities, needs, and developments.

  • You advise livestock farmers on the optimization and sustainability of their business operations.

  • You guide entrepreneurs who want to switch to organic livestock farming.

  • You further expand the network of De Groene Weg and know how to connect new organic livestock farmers to our supply chain.

  • You optimize existing supply chains and participate in setting up new collaborations and supply chain concepts.

  • You bring together the interests of livestock farmers, internal stakeholders, and supply chain partners and translate agreements into concrete actions.

What do you bring?

You understand how important trust is in the relationship with livestock farmers. You listen, make clear agreements, and simultaneously keep an eye on the interests of the entire supply chain. You take initiative and feel comfortable in a role where relationship management, planning, and development come together.

What do we offer you?

At De Groene Weg, you will receive trust and responsibility in a role where your work is directly visible in the supply chain. You will get the space to build relationships in your own way, suggest improvements, and work towards the further growth of organic meat in the Netherlands.

Interested?

Do you want to use your knowledge of livestock farming to continue building organic meat in the Netherlands together with entrepreneurs and colleagues? Then we would love to meet you.

About VION Food Group

In their own words

About the company & team

De Groene Weg has been active in organic meat in the Netherlands since 1981 and is part of Vion Food Group. With this, we combine specialist knowledge of the organic supply chain with the impact, logistical expertise, and quality knowledge of an international food organization.

Within De Groene Weg, you get the space to take responsibility and work entrepreneurially. We value clear agreements, a down-to-earth approach, and short lines of communication. You work together with colleagues and partners who each contribute to the same supply chain from their own expertise.

In this position, that impact is very concrete. Better planning, a strong relationship with a livestock farmer, or a new organic collaboration has a direct effect on the continuity and development of the supply chain. At the same time, you get the space to learn, take initiative, and further develop yourself within an organization that stands in the middle of the food supply chain.
