Senior Category Manager IT

• HBO or WO working and thinking level

• At least 5 years of experience within IT Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management

• Experience with IT contracts such as SaaS, software licenses, cloud solutions, and managed services

• Demonstrable experience with category management and strategic sourcing

• Experience with complex negotiations and supplier management

• Knowledge of TCO analyses, business cases, and commercial decision-making

• Strong stakeholder management skills at operational, tactical, and strategic levels

• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages

As Senior Category Manager IT Procurement, you develop and realize the sourcing strategy within the IT domain. Together with colleagues from IT, Finance, Legal, and the business, you ensure smart, future-oriented choices.

• Developing and executing the category and sourcing strategy for IT

• Co-leading the Multidisciplinary Team (MFT) together with IT for the development and execution of the category plan

• Ensuring alignment with the Procurement and corporate strategy

• Identifying opportunities in the areas of cost optimization, innovation, value creation, and risk management

• Leading complex sourcing trajectories, tenders, and RFP processes

• Negotiating contracts for software, SaaS solutions, cloud services, hardware, and managed services

• Building and further developing sustainable relationships with strategic suppliers

• Advising management and stakeholders on supplier choices, contract types, and sourcing strategies

• Bringing together different interests and building strong collaborations within the organization

• Ensuring contract management, compliance, and procurement governance

• Influencing senior stakeholders and contributing to the further professionalization of Procurement
