At our beef slaughterhouse in Tilburg, quality is at the heart of the operation every single day. From the reception of the animals to the processing and release of the product: food safety, product integrity, and animal welfare must be demonstrably in order at every step.
As QA Manager Food, you provide direction to that responsibility. You ensure that laws and regulations, customer agreements, and our own quality standards are not only correct on paper, but are visibly complied with on the shop floor. You are a member of the site's management team, lead the QA team, and work closely with Production, Operations, Technical Service, and other involved disciplines.
Here, you see immediately what your work achieves. You make risks discussable, help colleagues to better control processes, and turn improvements into concrete results. In doing so, you contribute to safe food, careful animal welfare, and trust in our food chain.
You are responsible for the quality policy and daily quality assurance within the site. You combine substantive expertise with leadership and are regularly present in production.
You safeguard food safety, hygiene, product quality, product integrity, traceability, and animal welfare within the entire slaughter process.
You translate laws and regulations, internal standards, and customer requirements into clear working methods, controls, and responsibilities.
You monitor the quality management system and ensure that procedures, registrations, and control measures remain current and workable.
You guide internal and external audits, inspections, and visits from regulators and ensure careful follow-up of findings.
You analyze deviations, complaints, trends, and risks and, together with operations, implement targeted corrective and preventive actions.
You initiate and guide improvement trajectories that contribute to better process control, fewer deviations, and a strong quality culture.
You lead the QA team, set priorities, and help employees to grow professionally and personally.
You represent quality, food safety, product integrity, and animal welfare in the management team and present facts clearly during decision-making.
You work intensively with colleagues on the shop floor and address issues where necessary, always with the goal of becoming better together.
You are an experienced quality professional who brings calm and clarity to a production environment. You take responsibility, dare to make decisions, and know how to engage colleagues at various levels.
You will receive a key position at a location where quality is directly linked to food safety, animal welfare, and production continuity. You will be given the trust to make choices, implement improvements, and firmly anchor quality in daily practice.
A leadership position with direct influence on the performance and quality culture of the site.
A place in the management team of Vion Tilburg, close to decision-making and operations.
Plenty of room for initiative, ownership, and the realization of structural improvements.
An engaged QA team and short lines of communication with Production, Operations, Technical Service, and other specialists.
A stable, international working environment with a down-to-earth culture, accessible management, and colleagues who take responsibility together.
A position that is largely performed on-site, because your visibility on the shop floor is an important part of the role.
At Vion, we work on a food chain where people can rely on safe products and careful processes. In Tilburg, you do this in an environment where choices become directly visible in the operation.
You will receive responsibility and the space to make decisions independently. At the same time, you will not be alone. You will work with engaged colleagues, discuss points for improvement openly, and build solutions together that work in practice.
Vion is an international organization, but at the site, the lines are short. People know each other, management is accessible, and initiative is valued. Those who see opportunities and take responsibility are given the space to make an impact and develop further.
