The role
Our promise is "The Best of ICT with a Human Touch". From HR, you have an important task to ensure that we fulfill our promise as an employer. As an HR Backoffice employee, you make the difference in this. You are a go-to person for colleagues, ensure that HR processes are in order, and support the HR Business Partners. A challenging role with plenty of variety within the rapidly changing world of IT.
In your role as HR Backoffice employee, you support multiple HR Business Partners and the HR Manager in their daily work. One moment you are busy organizing the onboarding, movement, and offboarding of employees, and the next moment you are drafting correspondence, reports, or setting up procedures/HR Systems. You also ensure that the payroll administration receives all salary changes on time and you check for correct processing. Additionally, you check your own work and, in consultation with your HR colleagues, keep it uniform, signal differences, and—very importantly—propose solutions and improvements. It is a varied position with many areas of focus, and you work in an informal and professional team.
What you'll do
Every day is different; you won't get bored! An example of what a day could look like: You start the day with a meeting with an HR colleague about the progress of the activities for the Business Unit you work for. After that, you process a few emails from the shared mailbox and check whether all matters regarding the onboarding of various new colleagues have been arranged. Is the laptop ready on time? Is access to the various systems arranged?
After lunch, you check whether you have run all the reports for the HR analysis, and at the end of the day, you still have time to draft a couple of employment contracts, because you are going to discuss those with your HR colleague again tomorrow.
You work for multiple Business Units in Capelle aan den IJssel and work intensively with colleagues from HR, Finance, Fleet Management, Facility, and the Service Desk. You have short lines of communication, allowing you to brainstorm easily and respond quickly to relevant matters. This contributes to optimal knowledge sharing within the network!
