Requirements

What we're looking for

You have a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
You have knowledge of designing, sketching, drawing, and constructing.
You have experience with CAD drawing software.
You are able to perform mechanical strength calculations.
You possess professional language proficiency in Dutch and English.

Nice to have

German is a plus.

The role

What you'll do

What will you do?

As a design drafter, you are involved in creating production and quotation drawings.
You study, interpret, and discuss the work assignment with the Engineering Manager. Subsequently, you collect the necessary data and create sketches, diagrams, and assembly drawings for quotation and production purposes.
In addition, you maintain contact with the departments involved regarding the progress of the work and consult with suppliers and inspection bodies.
Additionally, you perform calculations, supervise the fabrication of parts and assembly, and adjust the design as necessary.
You provide instructions and documentation material for production and the client, and you check bills of materials and corresponding material specifications.
Occasionally, you support the account manager during client visits.
