The role

As an operational buyer, you are responsible for placing orders with suppliers and following up on these orders.

• Converting purchasing advice into purchase orders;
• Checking order confirmations;
• Coordinating internally and with suppliers regarding issues concerning the quality and delivery time of materials, and acting as the first point of contact for solutions;
• Handling rejections towards suppliers;
• Correcting ongoing orders in the event of technical changes;
• Chasing outstanding orders;
• Implementing rescheduling and discussing this with suppliers.

Your strength

• Purchasing training (NEVI Mil) is a plus; if you do not have this, we are happy to help you with it!
• You possess good communication skills and know how to get the best out of collaboration with suppliers;
• You are decisive, flexible, you take initiative, and you are result-oriented;
• You set clear priorities and communicate them clearly;
• Working in a team is no problem for you, both within the department and outside of it;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
