Requirements

What we're looking for

  • A completed MBO 4 or HBO education;
  • A completed NEVI training (plus);
  • At least 2 years of experience with the procurement of technical parts, preferably within mechanical engineering;
  • You are independent, proactive, and able to set priorities;
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (German is a plus).

The role

The role

As an Operational Buyer at VDL Konings, you work independently and are well-acquainted with the technical background of our products. You act quickly, maintain an overview, and ensure that everything runs smoothly. You are an important link between suppliers and internal customers, contributing to a smooth procurement process.

What you'll do

  • You order parts within the authorized budget;
  • You monitor the progress of purchase orders and maintain contact with suppliers;
  • You keep internal customers informed of the status of their orders and report any deviations in delivery time, cost, or quality;
  • You identify bottlenecks and resolve problems independently or discuss them with your fellow buyers;
  • You manage the necessary procurement documents and contracts.
