Requirements

What we're looking for

A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in Human Resource Management.
Experience in a similar HR role, or relevant internship and graduation experience.
Strong analytical skills and extensive experience with Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Experience with HR systems, preferably YouServe or AFAS, or the ability to quickly master new systems.
An accurate and structured way of working, in which you easily identify deviations and opportunities for improvement.
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.

The role

As an HR Officer, you are an important sparring partner for managers and an indispensable link within our HR organization. You support, advise, and actively think along about how HR processes can be designed to be smarter, more efficient, and future-proof. In doing so, you combine operational HR activities with data analysis, process improvement, and participation in challenging HR projects.

What you'll do

You manage the entire process of employee inflow, movement, and outflow, including contracts, mutations, and onboarding.
You create HR reports and analyses in the areas of inflow and outflow, identify trends, and translate these into valuable insights for HR and management.
You set up dashboards and management information and contribute to a data-driven HR approach.
You manage and control personnel data in MyVDL, YouServe, and in the future, AFAS.
You initiate and implement process improvements that contribute to a more efficient and qualitatively stronger HR organization.
You are the first point of contact for HR-related questions from employees and managers.
You advise on employment conditions, collective labor agreement (CAO) provisions, and HR policy.
You work together with VDL Netherlands on the further professionalization of HR processes and systems.
You make an active contribution to HR projects, such as system implementations and change processes.

How you'll work

Availability of 28 to 32 hours per week, spread over four or five working days.
Ambition to further develop yourself within this role and our organization for a longer period.
