Senior Fire Safety Advisor

You connect technical expertise with leadership and strategic direction. As a Senior Fire Safety Advisor at Inprevo, you lead complex projects, act as a sparring partner for our clients' management/boards, and help colleagues advance in their profession. You maintain technical depth in fire safety, but you also receive the space to provide direction to the Fire Safety team and to the development of our services.

You work together with a project team on diverse projects, such as healthcare campuses, high-rise buildings, mixed-use functions, and industrial locations. You develop and assess fire safety concepts and Programs of Requirements. You know how to effortlessly translate a vision into concrete, actionable plans.

You think strategically: with every choice, you carefully weigh the impact on risks, permits, costs, management, future expansions, and the continuity of the organization. As the technical point of contact for clients and authorities, you provide direction when questions, discussions, or differences in interpretation arise.

You are part of the Fire Safety team, which consists of approximately fifteen specialists within a broader consultancy organization of over thirty-five colleagues. You work closely with the Consultancy Manager and have influence on working methods, quality assurance, and team development. You largely determine for yourself how you distribute your time across clients, the team, and technical content.

You are given plenty of room to take initiative within your role. You remain technically involved in issues that matter, but you also have influence on the direction of the team and on how we, as Inprevo, are positioned in the market. The culture is mature and professional, but informal in interaction: ideas are taken seriously, lines are short, and decisions are made quickly. You see immediately what your choices mean for clients, colleagues, and the further growth of Inprevo's services. Additionally, you receive full freedom in managing your schedule. You determine where you work and how you organize your agenda.

• Designing, reviewing, and substantiating fire safety concepts, including the reasoning as to why chosen solutions fit the risk profile and the ambition of the organization.

• Guiding implementations at complex locations, where you set priorities and help determine what must happen when to keep risks manageable.

• Leading complex projects where you stand alongside the client but also determine the direction for your colleagues. Managing budget, deadlines, scope, and quality.

• Translating risk analyses into policy proposals and roadmaps, so that directors can choose between scenarios with insight into the consequences.

• Managing and coaching consultants, providing feedback on technical content, and increasing the overall quality level by deploying appropriate development tracks.

• Identifying commercial opportunities with existing and new clients and contributing to the writing of quotes, solicitations, and tenders.

• Salary between € 4,500 and € 6,500 gross per month (based on a 40-hour work week);

• The possibility to work 32 hours per week;

• A completed HBO or WO degree with relevant fire safety training, for example Fire Prevention Expert 1 and/or 2, Fire Safety Engineering, project design expert, BMI/OAI and/or relevant sprinkler training;

• At least 6 years of experience as a (senior) fire safety advisor;

• You are strategically strong: you can compare different solution directions regarding risk, cost, feasibility, operation, and permit requirements and make clear, substantiated choices in them;

• You are communicatively strong: you can make complex analyses and choices understandable for directors, project teams, competent authorities, and executing parties;

• You provide direction: you dare to take stances on quality, approach, and priorities and know how to bring others along with you;

• You have leadership experience or clear ambition in that direction: you find it natural to coach colleagues, give feedback, and raise the level together.
