Site Manager

As Site Manager, you ensure that work on high-voltage substations, line connections, and cable connections is carried out safely and in a controlled manner. Together with your team, you work on construction, management, and maintenance projects that contribute to a stable and sustainable energy system. How do you keep the Netherlands running?

As Site Manager, you are responsible for the execution and control of construction, management, and maintenance projects on-site, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy. You represent TenneT at construction sites and substation locations and ensure that safety, quality, planning, and contractual agreements are demonstrably secured during the realization of work on substations, line connections, and cable connections.

• You monitor the execution of work in terms of safety, time, money, quality, and risks, so that projects are realized in a controlled and predictable manner.
• You direct and assess the performance of contractors and contracting parties within UAV and UAV-GC contracts, so that contractual agreements are demonstrably met.
• You coordinate with project management, clients, supervisors, and environmental parties, so that dependencies within the project chain are effectively managed and delays are prevented.
• You assess designs, execution plans, and inspection plans for manufacturability, feasibility, and safety, so that work can be carried out efficiently and in a controlled manner.
• You monitor interfaces between different contracts, disciplines, and executing parties, so that cooperation within complex project environments runs smoothly.
• You perform operational contract management, accept delivered work, and support a careful handover to the management organization, so that the quality and continuity of the high-voltage grid are secured.

• A completed MBO or HBO degree in the direction of Mechanical Engineering, Energy Technology, or similar.
• Demonstrable experience with high-voltage installations and high-voltage substations.
• Experience with construction, management, and maintenance projects within a technical environment.
• Experience with UAV, UAV-GC and preferably SCB processes.
• Knowledge of NEN 3840, NEN 50110 and NEN 3140.
• Experience with stakeholder management and collaborating with contractors, supervisors, and other executing parties.
• Experience with project methodologies such as PRINCE2 and/or IPMA (D/C) is a plus.
• You possess a KEB certification or are willing to obtain it.
• You possess VCA VOL or are willing to obtain it within TenneT.
• You master the Dutch and English languages at a professional level.

Therefore, for full-time employment, we offer you:

• A contract with a probationary period, based on 40 hours per week.
• A salary in scale 8: € 4,276 to € 8,443 per month with 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus.
• A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
