Manager Technology

• At least ten years of experience in a technological or process-oriented role within the food industry, agro, dairy, or a similar industrial process environment. 

• A completed HBO or WO degree in, for example, food technology, process technology, chemical technology, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical field. 

• Management experience in a technical or process-oriented environment, where you provide direction to professionals and are accustomed to developing vision and strategy at a senior level. 

• A connecting and practical leadership style with which you stimulate collaboration, involve stakeholders, and set improvements in motion. 

• Experience with technology development, process improvement, industrialization, and supporting production sites. 

• Good command of the Dutch and English languages. 

As Manager Technology, you report to the COO and serve as her right hand regarding process technology. You develop the course for technology and ensure that new or modified production processes are successfully implemented. 

You lead a team of seven highly educated professionals. You bring focus, further develop the team, and ensure that your team's knowledge effectively converges with that of engineering, quality, product development, and the (international) production sites. 

You investigate new technologies and translate technological knowledge into concrete improvements in operations. In doing so, you prioritize, monitor the coherence between initiatives, and help production sites to actually realize improvements in the areas of quality, efficiency, sustainability, and process control. 

• You develop a clear course for process technology and translate this into priorities, projects, and standards for the production sites. 

• You provide direction to the team, stimulate knowledge sharing, and create space for collaboration and professional growth. 

• You actively maintain the dialogue between engineering, quality, product development, and the (international) production sites, so that expertise is utilized organization-wide. 

• You organize support for complex process problems, root cause analyses, and quality issues when local knowledge or capacity requires extra expertise. 

• You provide senior technological expertise during important investment decisions and monitor that choices add value in the areas of quality, cost, sustainability, and feasibility in operations. 

• You fulfill a steering role in the industrialization of new or modified processes and support sites with new installations, start-ups, ramp-ups, and stabilization.
