The role

The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. Within the Real Estate & Facility Management department, we work with a broad and diverse contract portfolio for offices, warehouses, data and control centers, and other business-critical locations, so that the Netherlands can also rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. Will you contribute to professional and reliable contract management as a Contract Administrator?

What you'll do

Good contract management begins with reliable and up-to-date information. As a Contract Administrator, you ensure that contract files, contract data, and important contract milestones are in order. You maintain an overview of the contract portfolio, monitor deadlines and changes, and ensure that contract managers, contract owners, and other stakeholders have access to the right information to be able to steer and make decisions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

As a Contract Administrator, you are co-responsible for a reliable and well-managed contract portfolio, so that the department can continue to let its locations function safely and reliably.

You will be working within Real Estate & Facility Management, a department of approximately seventy colleagues, and supporting the contract managers in the Projects, Maintenance, and Workplace & Security teams. In doing so, you will work on a broad mix of construction, maintenance, facility, and other service contracts. Within the department, there is an informal, collegial, and result-oriented working atmosphere, in which individual initiative and collaboration are central.

You will work closely with contract managers, contract owners, Procurement, Finance, and other involved disciplines. Additionally, you will contribute to the further professionalization of contract data, tooling, reporting, and working methods. The department is in full development and is working towards a more uniform, department-wide approach to contract management. You will help build this from the ground up.

Depending on your experience and the size and complexity of the contract, you will also independently manage a number of smaller contracts. You will then monitor agreements, deadlines, changes, and performance, and coordinate where necessary with the contract owner, the supplier, and other stakeholders.

Furthermore, you are also responsible for, among other things:

  • Contract files and contract register: you ensure that contracts, attachments, amendments, and other relevant documentation are recorded completely, accurately, and unambiguously. You monitor the quality and completeness of the files and ensure that information is accessible to the relevant roles.
  • Deadlines and contract changes: you register changes and monitor important moments in the contract lifecycle, such as durations, renewal and notice periods, warranty periods, indexations, and price revisions. You signal in a timely manner when action or decision-making is required.
  • Management information and reports: you translate contract data into useful steering and management information. You provide insight into the contract portfolio, deadlines, and changes, and contribute to reliable periodic reports.
  • Tender calendar and contract planning: you maintain an overview of expiring contracts and planned tenders and contribute to an up-to-date tender calendar. This creates timely insight into required actions, capacity, and decision-making.
  • Tooling and data: you contribute to a uniform and reliable setup of contract data and support the use and further development of contract management tooling. You signal missing or inconsistent information and help to improve data quality.
  • Management of smaller contracts: depending on your experience, you independently manage a number of less complex contracts, from monitoring agreements and performance to coordination with the supplier and contract owner.
  • Professionalization and collaboration: you actively contribute to uniform working methods, templates, and processes for contract management within the entire department, working together with contract managers from various fields.

What you bring

At TenneT, we are looking for a Contract Administrator who creates overview, works meticulously, and understands that good contract information is essential for professional steering. You are structured and analytical, easily maintain an overview of multiple contracts and types of service, and signal in a timely manner when information is missing or action is needed. You take ownership, actively seek collaboration, and enjoy bringing structure to an environment that is in full development. You do not just process information, but also think along about how processes, tooling, and information provision can be smarter.

  • Accuracy and overview: you work carefully and independently and organize various tasks and deadlines well.
  • Analytical and digitally skilled: you record data in a structured manner, check it, and translate it into useful information. You have experience with systems, databases, or contract management tooling.
  • Collaboration and communication: you communicate clearly and work easily with contract managers, internal clients, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience with contract administration, contract management, procurement support, or a similar position.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing contract files, contract data, changes, deadlines, and reports.
  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, preferably with a degree in business administration, facility management, procurement, contract management, legal services, or a similar field.
  • For this position, excellent command of the Dutch language and a good command of the English language is necessary, both orally and in writing.

Experience with contract management within real estate, facility management, technical maintenance, construction projects, or another technical environment is a plus. This also applies to knowledge of the contract lifecycle (indexations, renewals, and contractual terms), experience with contract management systems, independently managing smaller contracts, and preparing management information, dashboards, or a tender calendar.

TenneT offers you the chance to contribute to a sustainable energy future. Together with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, you will work on innovative solutions that make the energy transition possible. With us, you will get the space to develop your talent and work in an environment where your growth is central. We encourage initiative and give you the space to come up with new ideas.

We therefore offer you with full-time employment:

  • A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period, based on 40 hours per week.
  • A salary in scale 6: €3691,- to €6493,- per month, in addition to 8% holiday allowance and also a 6% year-end bonus.
  • A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
  • 43 leave days per year.
  • Hybrid working where possible, including a travel, internet, and home office allowance.
  • Support for your vitality, with a contribution towards a sports subscription and health insurance, and our Always Energy program.
  • Development opportunities via the TenneT Academy, so that you can continue to expand your knowledge and skills.
