Do you have several years of experience as a mate or Maritime Officer and are you ready for a challenging position on shore? Or do you currently work as a VTS operator or Marine Operations Coordinator and want to further develop your maritime knowledge within the offshore domain? We are looking for candidates with at least MBO-4 working and thinking level and a relevant maritime background, for example as a mate, Maritime Officer, VTS operator, Marine Coordinator, or from a similar maritime-operational role.
You work on the energy system of the future by keeping it safe, reliable, and affordable. That comes with an attractive package:
The energy transition requires smart, decisive professionals. In the Marine Helicopter Coordination Centre (MHCC), we work daily to ensure safe and well-coordinated offshore operations around the TenneT offshore platforms, so that the Netherlands can also rely on a reliable electricity grid tomorrow. Due to the transition of MHCC tasks and responsibilities from the Germany team to the Netherlands, we are expanding our team.
As a Marine Coordinator, you will work within the Marine Helicopter Coordination Centre (MHCC) as part of the 24/7 Operations Control Centre in Arnhem at our head office. Together with a driven, eager-to-learn, humorous, and professional team of Marine Operations Coordinators, a manager, and the team of specialists from the maritime knowledge desk. You are responsible for the safe execution of maritime activities around offshore HV-substations and associated cable systems in various life stages, with growth towards the 2GW Program. You work closely with various teams in the Netherlands and with the existing Marine Operations Center in Lehrte (Germany). During the onboarding period, you will be guided by experienced colleagues and will get to know systems, procedures, and working methods. You work in a self-managing team where collaboration and solution-oriented action are central.
How do you keep the Netherlands running? As a Marine Coordinator, you are responsible for monitoring and ensuring maritime and offshore activities within a 24/7 environment, in both the field of safety and security, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.
Team
You will join a new and multidisciplinary Marine Operations Team that currently consists of 7 Marine Coordinators (24/7), employees from the marine desk, and our manager of the MHCC. Together, we ensure a safe and efficient execution of coordination around TenneT's offshore assets. Within the team, ownership, collaboration, courage, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement are central, with everyone contributing to the success of TenneT's offshore projects and the energy transition.
