The role
A Risicomanager at Strukton plays a crucial role in managing risks within projects and at a corporate level. Together with the team, the Risicomanager analyzes potential problems and, with the team, develops appropriate control measures to ensure an optimally controlled project process. In close cooperation with the project manager and the estimator, the risk reserve is determined, using, for example, Monte Carlo analysis. The results of these analyses are presented clearly in a dashboard, which assists in decision-making. Additionally, the Risicomanager reports on main lines to the Board, meaning he or she is directly involved in the policy of Strukton Infra Specials (SIS).
An important part of the position is advising and reporting on risks to the management team, both within projects and towards clients and at a corporate level. The Risicomanager organizes and leads risk sessions and applies the RISMAN method to identify and manage risks and control measures within various teams. In addition to risks, opportunities that contribute to successful project execution are also recorded.
During the execution phase, the Risicomanager continues to monitor the risks and associated control measures, so that timely adjustments can be made where necessary. In collaboration with the planner, a probabilistic schedule is drawn up, and together with the estimator, a probabilistic budget is developed. This way of working ensures that risks are not only made visible but also actually remain controlled, allowing projects within Strukton to be realized in a predictable and responsible manner.
What you'll do
As a Risicomanager, you are analytically strong, communicatively skilled, proactive, and proficient with the systems we use such as Relatics, @Risk, document management, and quality systems. Additionally, you enjoy working in teams. You are responsible for monitoring risks and control measures and providing support regarding the financial status of the project. Furthermore, you provide timely, complete, and reliable reports and forecasts and inform the project manager about these.
Functie-eisen
Furthermore:
- You possess a HBO or University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Technical Business Administration, or a degree that you believe is suitable for this position;
- Experience as a project coordinator/project controller/work preparer on (civil) integral projects is a plus; Just out of school? Even then, this role could be a good fit.
- Ideally, you have experience in realizing projects within road construction and/or civil concrete construction, or you have experience with project control in technology;
- You communicate easily and dare to act proactively towards colleagues and clients.

In their own words
About the company & team
Strukton Infra Specials develops and realizes complex infrastructure projects within the fields of rail-civil, bridges & tunnels, and hydraulic engineering. We specialize in project management and multidisciplinary collaboration. Our projects include, among others, the energy-neutral Delft Campus Station, the renovation of Amsterdam Centraal Station, and the technical realization and maintenance of the Hubertustunnel in The Hague. Additionally, we work on water safety projects such as Nieuwe Werken Zoutkamp and play a key role in the renovation and replacement of existing structures in the Netherlands.
We work circularly and with a focus on extending service life, with an eye for climate change and resource scarcity. Thanks to more than 100 years of experience, we combine craftsmanship and innovation with a human- and client-oriented approach. Our project teams work closely together in an open, informal atmosphere. Quality, sustainability, and job satisfaction are central, and we regularly organize meetings to share knowledge and connect colleagues.
As a Risicomanager at Strukton, you will work within the Project Control department, a team in which knowledge and experience in the field of risk management are shared and further developed. Every month, this group of six risk management specialists meets to analyze and apply the latest insights and developments within the organization. Within projects, you fall under the Project Control Manager, but you work closely with various teams from both design and execution. Additionally, you report findings to the Core Team and coordinate with the client regarding risk allocations, which ensures dynamic collaboration at various levels. This role is not only substantively challenging but also offers the opportunity to be involved in extraordinary and leading projects. Think, for example, of Groningen Main Station, the Reeve Sluis, PHS Dijksgracht, or projects such as HAC C11 and Zoutkamp. Every project brings unique challenges and requires a sharp eye for risks and opportunities.
Alongside the serious work, there is also room for fun and team building. We regularly go out together with the Systems Engineering and BIM teams to get to know each other in a different way. This ensures a strong mutual bond and a pleasant working atmosphere. Working as a Risicomanager at Strukton therefore means not only substantive depth and responsibility, but also working in a close-knit and committed team.
