Residential Support Worker Protected Housing in Almere

In this role, you will guide and support clients based on their individual support plans, which are drawn up together with the client and the personal counselor. You are responsible for the implementation of these plans and keep a sharp eye on changes in behavior, well-being, or situation. You offer practical help with daily activities such as doing groceries together and keeping the home clean. Additionally, you fulfill the role of group leader. During communal moments, such as mealtimes, you ensure structure, a pleasant atmosphere, and a safe living environment in which clients feel seen and heard. This also includes cooking food for the group. Naturally, you also contribute to administration and reporting, so that the team is always well-informed. The basis of your work is building a bond of trust with clients, so that they feel safe to develop and take steps towards stability. Together with your team, you shape the work, and every team member contributes to the content and quality of the support. In this way, you together create a warm, stable, and safe living place.

You work in varied day, evening, and weekend shifts, which you fill in together with your team, with shifts from 07:30 to 16:00 and from 13:30 to 22:00. No day is the same and there is plenty of room for your own input and development.

What else we expect from you:

• You possess a completed relevant MBO level 4 education and preferably bring several years of work experience in mental healthcare (GGZ).

• You have knowledge of psychiatric disorders, psychosocial issues, and the rehabilitation methodology or presence approach.

• You are flexible and willing to participate in the irregular shift pattern.

• You have a strong personality; you do not let yourself be knocked off course.
