The role

During your HBO internship, do you want to learn how to support people with mental or psychosocial vulnerabilities in their recovery and in increasing their independence? As an intern Personal Counselor at Kwintes, you will get the chance to develop in the methodical guidance of clients and working towards their personal goals. You will learn how to map out their support needs together with clients, draw up and evaluate guidance plans, and offer appropriate support. In doing so, you will not only look at the challenges someone experiences, but especially at the possibilities, wishes, and the client's own autonomy. You will work together with colleagues and other involved professionals and learn how to coordinate the guidance surrounding a client. As you progress in your internship, you will receive more and more space to take on tasks and responsibilities independently, naturally appropriate to your year of study and learning goals, and under the supervision of experienced colleagues.

Your workplace

Kwintes has various locations within the Ede-Veenendaal region. Our clients, living arrangements, and teams differ per location. That also means that no single internship position is exactly the same.

For this vacancy, we focus exclusively on students who wish to do an internship starting from February 2027. Unfortunately, starting earlier is not possible.

With this vacancy, you are not applying for one specific location. Together, we will look at which internship opportunities are available within the region and which position aligns with your studies, learning goals, and interests. Of course, we will also discuss what you find important in an internship and with which target group you would like to gain experience.

Do we see a possible match? Then you will meet the location and the team. This allows us to see from both sides if the internship position suits you.

About Kwintes

Kwintes supports people with a psychiatric or psychosocial vulnerability. We offer our clients professional help with living, working, and learning, to lead as independent a life as possible. You can find us in many different places in the center of the country; from Flevoland to Gouda. Recovery is a meaningful concept in the support that Kwintes offers. Employees of Kwintes rely on the recovery capacity of clients and support this process. We experience connection with our 2000 colleagues and together we commit ourselves every day to helping people. At Kwintes, we start from what is possible, even when it comes to your career. We work from trust and offer you a job with meaning, the space to be yourself, and to get more out of yourself. Do you also see more in people?

What you bring

  • You are following the HBO bachelor's program in Social Work or Applied Psychology and are available from February 2027 for a work-integrated internship of at least 16 hours per week.

  • You are interested in mental healthcare (GGZ) and supporting people with mental or psychosocial vulnerabilities.

  • You are curious and ask questions if you do not know or understand something. You are open to feedback and try to apply what you learn in practice.

  • You reflect on your own actions. What went well, what would you do differently next time? You dare to discuss this with your internship supervisor and colleagues.

  • You take initiative by actively observing, taking on tasks, and indicating what you would like to learn. In doing so, you also know when you need help or guidance.

We offer

As an intern at Kwintes, you get the chance to gain experience within an interesting and versatile organization and to lay a good foundation for your future. Additionally, we offer:

  • Professional guidance from experienced colleagues who support you in your development.

  • Special training and meetings for interns.

  • Space for your own ideas, initiative, and development.

  • An internship allowance of € 527,- gross per month based on a 36-hour internship week (in accordance with the CAO GGZ).

Enthusiastic? We look forward to your response via our website! In your motivation letter, tell us who you are, what you would like to learn, and which target group(s) within Kwintes appeal to you most.

In addition, please indicate the following (this is important to be able to make a good match):

  • Which year of study you are in and which program you are following.

  • How many hours per week (minimum 16 hours) and on which days you can do your internship.

  • How many hours your internship lasts in total and how long your internship period runs.

  • What you hope to learn or further develop.

After your application, our campus recruiter will contact you for an initial introduction. Together, we will discuss your studies, learning goals, interests, and preferences. After that, we will look at which locations within the region align with these and introduce you to one or more teams where we see a possible match.

Is a team enthusiastic about your profile and are there possibilities for an internship? Then an introductory interview on location will follow. This gives you the chance to get to know the team and the workplace better, and you can discover together if it feels right from both sides.
