As a social worker, you guide young adults who have gone through a difficult period and are working towards a new start. They have often dealt with homelessness, an unstable home situation, or other complex challenges. You are their fixed point of contact and support them in building an independent and meaningful life. You work from a foundation of trust and look together with the young person at talents, possibilities, and future goals. In doing so, you help them with practical matters such as housing, finances, education, work, and strengthening their social network. You stimulate self-direction and encourage young people to take responsibility for their future step by step. Together with colleagues and external partners, you ensure an environment in which young adults can develop and experience perspective. You think in terms of opportunities, connect with the lived reality of young people, and offer guidance that fits their situation and ambitions. You manage your own caseload and are given plenty of room to use your professional insights and creativity to help young people move forward.
You do not see the problems, but the possibilities. You know how to motivate young adults, build trust, and guide them through a life stage in which much comes together. Thanks to your empathy, decisiveness, and positive energy, you help young people gain more grip on their lives and future, step by step.
Do you have a higher professional education (HBO) degree in an agogic field, such as Social Work.
Do you have experience with or an affinity for guiding young adults with psychological, social, and/or societal challenges.
You are willing to work irregular shifts (early/late). Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM and on weekends between 9:30 AM and 11:00 PM.
Can you connect well with the lived experience of young people and stimulate them in taking their own direction.
