Support Worker in the Netherlands

As a mentor at Lorentzweg, you will work with adults with mental health vulnerabilities who live with us and need support in their daily lives. You stand close to the residents and look together with them at what is needed to live as independently as possible. From a good conversation or cooking together to working on personal goals: no two days are the same! As a mentor, you have your own caseload, you draw up personal support plans, and you work closely with colleagues, practitioners, and other stakeholders. You identify changes, provide support with practical matters such as medication and finances, and contribute to a pleasant and safe living environment. At Lorentzweg, we have openings on two regular teams and a BW+ team for the elderly. Three teams, each with its own target group and dynamics. This way, we will discover together which position as a mentor suits you best!

You will be working at our protected residential location on Lorentzweg in Bussum. Here, adults with a psychiatric background live, each with their own story, care needs, and need for support. The regular teams guide clients in increasing their independence. Think of support in the areas of work, daily activities, social contacts, and finances. On the BW+ team, the residents are primarily elderly people from approximately 70 years old, who, in addition to guidance, can also use support with activities of daily living (ADL). You will join a dedicated and diverse team of colleagues with different backgrounds and experiences. Together, you will ensure a pleasant, safe, and cozy living environment in which residents can be themselves and are given space to develop. But which team suits you best? Temporarily based in Blaricum
Lorentzweg is temporarily located in the former Tergooi hospital in Blaricum (this location is also easy to reach and is located next to the highway). Our own building is being fully and modernly renovated. As soon as the renovation is complete, we will return to our renewed location at Lorentzweg.

• At least a completed MBO level 4 healthcare education relevant to the position.

• Knowledge of psychopathology, rehabilitation methodology, and presence methodology.

• You are flexible and willing to work varying shifts, including weekends. Sleep shifts are permitted, but not mandatory.

• A salary between € 2,888 and € 3,917 based on 36 hours (CAO GGZ, FWG 40).

• Your first contract is a temporary contract. If we are happy with each other, your next contract will be for an indefinite period.

• In addition to the statutory 8.33% holiday allowance, you receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, and at Kwintes, we offer a balance budget of €1,000 gross per year pro rata to your employment. Our lease scheme for the most beautiful and best (electric) bicycles is also worth mentioning!

The procedure consists of 2 interviews; the 1st interview is with the recruiter and the 2nd interview is on-site with 1 or 2 colleagues and a client. If applicable, a shadowing moment and the employment terms discussion will follow. Upon employment, we request a VOG (certificate of good conduct).
