You are customer-oriented, maintain an overview, and take responsibility. You switch easily between different stakeholders and know how to set priorities in a dynamic environment. Additionally, you possess:

• MBO+ working and thinking level;
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience within Customer Service, logistics, or supply chain;
• Knowledge of logistical processes and administrative systems;
• Strong planning and organizational skills;
• Good communication skills;
• A proactive and improvement-oriented attitude;
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages; German is a plus.

From the Logistiek Centrum Soesterberg, you will support logistical processes that are essential for the availability of equipment and resources of the Dutch Armed Forces. As a logistical partner to Defense, we do not only execute processes, but we also actively think along regarding improvements, innovation, and the further development of the logistical chain.

As a Customer Service Representative Defense Logistics, you, together with your colleagues at the Business Office of both Defense and Rhenus, are the link between customers, suppliers, Operations, and other stakeholders. You monitor logistical processes, solve bottlenecks, and ensure correct administrative handling. Additionally, you will be given the space to identify opportunities for improvement and help build a more efficient and future-proof service.

• Coordinating inbound and outbound processes;
• Acting as a point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal departments;
• Handling customer inquiries, incidents, and complaints;
• Investigating and resolving logistical deviations;
• Monitoring quality reports and initiating improvement actions;
• Starting up and supervising logistical processes, such as goods receipt, outbound, production, and stock counts;
• Monitoring agreements, procedures, and service levels;
• Drafting and managing reports, work instructions, and operational overviews;
• Identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation within processes;
• Actively contributing to optimizations within the collaboration between Rhenus and Defense.
