The role
What you'll do
Even as an experienced bicycle mechanic, you can continue to develop yourself at NS! You will learn from your colleagues and can make use of our enormous database of (online) courses. And because we continue to renew our OV-fietsen, you can go in all directions as a bicycle mechanic.
What do you do as a bicycle mechanic? You repair bicycles - naturally - but your job is very varied. On one bicycle, you tighten a pedal and you are finished in five minutes. You take another bicycle apart to, for example, replace the bottom bracket. You work on all kinds of bicycles: from old commuter bikes and large step-through bikes to our own OV-fiets.
In addition, you have a lot of contact with customers, because you work in the middle of the bicycle parking. In between, you ensure that the parking and workshop remain clean, tidy, and safe.

Important: additionally, you are available a maximum of two times per week to open and close the bicycle parking. The parking opens daily at 04:45. The closing time varies and is between 01:15 and 02:55.
Your shift lasts a maximum of 8 hours and you work 3 or 4 days per week. You have experience repairing and maintaining bicycles and are enthusiastic about learning this trade further. Due to the duties and working hours, it is important that you are at least 18 years old.
