Volunteer

As a volunteer at MST, you truly make a difference for patients and visitors. With your attention, help, and commitment, you ensure a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere in our hospital.

Depending on the project or department where you start, you can, for example:

• Receive and direct patients and visitors

• Offer a listening ear or have a pleasant chat

• Support activities or work on a nursing ward

• Contribute to a welcoming environment in the hospital

You always work together with colleagues from the department and other volunteers. Thanks to your dedication, people feel seen and helped.

More than 150 volunteers are active at MST. Every day, they make a valuable contribution to the care and services within the hospital.

As a volunteer, you are part of the team of the department where you work. You fall under one of our project leaders. The project leader is your first point of contact and guides you in the execution of your duties. Additionally, there is a volunteer coordinator who, together with the project leaders, ensures support and guidance.

Volunteering at MST means not only making a difference for others, but also being part of a committed and friendly organization.
Together, we ensure that patients and visitors feel welcome at MST.

We are looking for volunteers who are hospitable, committed, and reliable. You enjoy having contact with different people and have a good sense of what someone needs.
In addition, we require:

• A good command of the Dutch language

• A minimum age of 18 years

• Digital skills; you have regular contact via email and WhatsApp

• That you are available for at least 4 hours per week

• Empathy and an open, friendly attitude

• A Dutch passport, ID card, or residence permit with a valid foreign passport

• A Certificate of Conduct (VOG). The costs for this will be reimbursed by MST
