The role

The Digital Process Excellence (DPE) team is part of Corporate Services Transformation within KPMG's advisory practice and focuses on the structural improvement and automation of business processes using AI and digital technologies, across a wide spectrum of processes: from Finance to HR and beyond. Together with the client, you investigate where improvements are possible in terms of productivity, quality, costs, and customer satisfaction. In doing so, you make use of methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and technologies like AI, Process Mining, Low‑Code, and RPA, which you not only design but also actually implement. Additionally, you act as a sparring partner for clients and advise on how new technologies can be sustainably and effectively secured within the organization.

"We are a young team that not only provides advice on process improvements, but also contributes tangibly by implementing changes directly."

As an DPE consultant, you are involved from research through to implementation and are continuously engaged with innovation and operational issues at the client. You do this in a team setting, together with other DPE colleagues or even colleagues across the entire KPMG organization. Your activities are varied, from traditional LEAN projects to implementing technical solutions or conducting workshops in, for example, Scrum and Design Thinking.

You act as a bridge between the client and the latest technologies from our Digital Stack and are able to explain the complexity of these technologies to the client in an understandable way. There is also plenty of room to run your own (sub)projects. Additionally, you will be guided in your development and have freedom of choice in the training that suits you! Think of specialist training tailored to your needs (for example, deepening knowledge in JavaScript) or other consultancy skills (such as public speaking, interviewing, or project management).

The intended start date is 1 November 2026.

What you'll do

  • Helping clients understand the added value of technology and guiding them through how this strengthens their organization.
  • Deploying technology to innovate business processes and structurally improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of intelligent automation solutions for clients.
  • Continuously identifying opportunities for optimization and translating these into concrete improvement initiatives.
  • Working on diverse issues within different sectors and actively thinking along about new technological solutions.
