The role

Are you analytically strong, do you enjoy diving into complex issues, and do you want to understand how pension rules, data, and calculations come together? As a Junior Business Analyst | Pensions & Invaren you will work on the transition to the new pension system. You will investigate how existing pension entitlements are converted into personal pension assets and, together with your colleagues, ensure that the underlying data, calculations, and communication are correct.

What you'll do

You will start within a pension project in which invaren (transitioning) is central: converting existing pension entitlements to the new pension system. In doing so, you will combine the broad activities of a Business Analyst with a strong analytical and numerical focus. You will delve into pension rules, processes, and data, and translate these into clear specifications and concrete solutions.

You do not need to know all the pension material right away. For example, you will start with concrete pension letters and pension statements. From those end products, you will learn to reason backwards: which pension rules are behind this, what data is needed, and how are the underlying calculations established? This way, you will develop insight into the full transition process step by step.

  • analyze pension letters and pension statements and investigate which amounts, conditions, and scenarios should be included in them;

  • translate pension rules and requirements into clear functional specifications;

  • analyze, specify, and check calculations and forecasts;

  • perform testing activities and investigate whether outcomes align with the stated requirements;

  • reason backwards from concrete end products to the underlying data, pension rules, and processes;

  • gather information from various stakeholders and coordinate specifications with the involved teams;

  • collaborate with colleagues within Business Engineering, pension implementation, and migration;

  • take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge of the transition and the pension domain grows.

Collaboration with migration is particularly important. When a calculation is incorrect, you must be able to investigate where it comes from: is the problem in the calculation, the pension logic, or, for example, in the migrated data?
