Mechanical Engineering Supervisor

We are looking for someone to ensure that our bridges, locks, and storm surge barriers remain in top condition.

As a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor, you are responsible, together with the project team, for renovation and maintenance projects on important infrastructural objects such as bridges and locks. You lead foremen and technicians, ensuring these projects are executed efficiently and with the highest quality. With your knowledge and insight into mechanical engineering, you think in solutions and improvements, and maintain an overview, even under time pressure. Customer satisfaction and quality are therefore core values within Hollandia Services. Furthermore, you will:

• Coordinate and plan activities at the project location, with direct leadership over 2 to 10 colleagues and management of subcontractors

• Actively participate in construction meetings and report on progress, including measurements and photos of the performed work

• Motivate team members and address attitude and behavior, while solving problems together with the customer and subcontractors

In this role, you are the point of contact for the customer from the field service. You actively work alongside your service engineer colleagues. Additionally, you will join a solid and stable family business with a good working atmosphere. • A company car and your travel hours are reimbursed at 90% of your salary

You ensure that projects proceed according to plan, therefore it is important that you can plan well and enjoy being on the road to work on the most beautiful projects. You are able to read drawings and work according to prescribed schemes or other written data, such as execution plans. Furthermore, we expect the following from you:

• You have mechanical knowledge of, among other things, drives, alignment, hydraulics, and (complex) assembly activities

• In addition to mechanical engineering, if you also have an affinity with electrical engineering, that is a very nice addition

• We deal with road and shipping obstructions. Because of this, it may occur that you work at night or on the weekend

From our main office in Capelle aan den IJssel, Hollandia Services grew towards the North. The renovation of thirteen bridges and eleven locks in Flevoland opened the gateway to the North, and with the lock in Lemmer, we approached the border of Fryslân. Because there is a lot of work in this region, we opened our branch in Sint Nicolaasga (Sint Nyk), with local people who perform the work more easily and quickly nearby.

From Sint Nyk, we maintain and renovate bridges, locks, and storm surge barriers throughout the North, with a compact team and the strength of all of Hollandia behind us. We work closely with our colleagues in Krimpen aan den IJssel for the right expertise, on projects such as the Tsjerk Hiddes locks near Harlingen, the bridge at Engwierum, and various bridges and locks in Groningen.
