Project Buyer

As a project buyer at Hollandia Services, you ensure that our projects never come to a standstill. You manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for bridges, sluices, and storm surge barriers throughout the Netherlands. Think of projects such as the Haringvlietbrug, Oosterscheldekering, or the IJsselbruggen. Thanks to your tactical choices and timing, colleagues can build these unique works of art that keep the Netherlands safe and accessible.

You play an important role in the success of our projects. You ensure that all materials, equipment, and services needed for renovation and maintenance projects are available at the right time. In this role, you are the link between suppliers and subcontractors. You make clear agreements regarding price, delivery times, and quality. In doing so, you look beyond just the terms and conditions. You also focus on collaboration and long-term added value. Additionally, you work closely with project teams and monitor the entire procurement process from start to finish. You think ahead, identify opportunities, and help mitigate risks. In this way, you contribute to process improvement and the professionalization of the procurement function. Your duties consist of:

• Developing and executing procurement strategies from the tendering phase onwards

• Specifying, selecting, and contracting suppliers and subcontractors

• Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions

• Ensuring the timely availability of equipment, materials, and services

• Thinking along with project and tender managers regarding risks, opportunities, and improvements

Hollandia Services plays an important role in the maintenance and renovation of the Dutch infrastructure. With 200 technical experts, we maintain bridges, locks, and storm surge barriers. We do this from our locations in Capelle aan den IJssel, Krimpen aan den IJssel, and Sint Nicolaasga. We offer full service in the field of mechanical, electrotechnical, and hydraulic maintenance.
