The role

Provide direction to a financial foundation upon which care can be built

Are you an experienced financial professional who enjoys working with people, gets energy from improving things, and loves achieving results together? Someone who maintains an overview, enjoys diving into the details when necessary, and meanwhile notices what is happening within a team and organization? Then we would love to get to know you.

As Financial Administration Manager at GGZ inGeest, you and your team will ensure a financial administration that the organization can rely on. You know what is required to have the foundation well in order, but you also like to look further. Can a process be smarter? Can something be simpler? Where can colleagues get more out of themselves? You see it and make it a priority.

You lead a committed team, bring structure, and ensure clear frameworks. At the same time, you give people the space to do their work well and to develop further. Because good financial administration may start with numbers, but ultimately it is about the people who work with them.

What you'll do

As Financial Administration Manager, you are responsible for a reliable and well-organized financial administration. Together with your team, you ensure that the figures are correct, processes run smoothly, and financial information is available on time.

Concretely, this means you:

  • lead the Financial Administration team and are responsible for the quality and continuity of the work;

  • ensure that revenues, costs, and balance sheet positions are processed and reported accurately, completely, and on time;

  • comprehend complex financial issues and subsequently ensure they become clear and understandable for others;

  • are responsible for important processes such as invoicing, monthly and annual closing, and the annual report;

  • monitor progress and quality and make adjustments when necessary;

  • coach and guide your employees, have an eye for their talents, and help them to grow further;

  • set clear frameworks, but also give employees space to take responsibility;

  • collaborate with colleagues within Finance, other support services, and colleagues in care;

  • participate in consultations regarding, for example, reimbursement and financing issues on behalf of GGZ inGeest;

  • continuously look for ways processes can be smarter, more efficient, or better.

You do not need to have the answer to everything yourself. We are specifically looking for someone who asks good questions, brings people together, and ensures that we make progress together.

Where will you work?

The Finance department ensures that GGZ inGeest remains financially healthy and future-proof. Within Finance, various teams work together, including in the areas of financial administration, business control, business intelligence, care administration, and care sales.

As Financial Administration Manager, you report directly to the Finance Director and are part of the Finance management team. You therefore work with many different colleagues and move easily between different levels in the organization.

One moment you are discussing a financial issue with the management, the next you are sitting with your team discussing a process that could be improved. And of course, you also have regular contact with colleagues in care. It is precisely that variety that makes this position interesting.

The financial administration may not be the most visible part of our organization, but it is an incredibly important foundation. Good financial information helps us to make the right choices and to ensure that our care remains accessible and of high quality in the future.

What do we expect from you?

We are primarily looking for someone who knows how to combine financial knowledge with good leadership. You are firm when necessary, but always approachable. You know how to get people on board, even when something needs to change.

Furthermore:

  • you have at least a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in a business administration or financial-economic direction and possess an academic level of working and thinking;

  • you have experience in leadership and broad knowledge of financial administration;

  • you understand how different financial processes are interconnected and know how to safeguard quality and continuity;

  • you are analytically strong and easily maintain an overview;

  • you can switch between strategic issues and what needs to happen on the work floor today;

  • you get energy from improving things and like to approach matters practically and decisively;

  • you have experience in guiding projects and change processes;

  • you communicate clearly and transparently and know how to bring people along in a pleasant way;

  • you are businesslike when necessary, but never lose sight of the human element.

Experience within healthcare in a similar position is a plus.

Also important

  • You will receive a position for 36 hours per week, with Amsterdam as the location. Hybrid working is an option.

  • The position is scaled in FWG 65 in accordance with the GGZ collective labor agreement (CAO).

  • We believe it is important that you continue to develop yourself. Therefore, we support you in deepening your expertise, learning new skills, and increasing your digital knowledge.

With #Geestverwanten, we show who we really are: people who take their work very seriously, but fortunately, not always themselves. We work hard for good care, make room for development, and find it at least as important that you come to your work with pleasure.
