The role
As a support worker at GGZ inGeest, you always work together. You do this at one of our clinics. Play an important role within the treatment team. Observe and signal changes and contribute to a safe and supportive environment. Together, we make the difference for our clients.
Appropriate care for clients
Vervolgkliniek Westerpoort in Bennebroek offers (long-term) treatment to 87 clients with a Severe Psychiatric Disorder (SPD) spread across 4 teams. There are 3 open wards, including 1 ward with 27 HAT homes (apartments). Additionally, there is a (new) closed ward.
At Westerpoort, we take the time that is necessary, sometimes several months, to promote recovery. We do not focus solely on symptoms, but pay attention to the person behind them and his or her network. Building a relationship of trust and intensive contact with the client and their loved ones is central. Our quiet, green environment contributes to a sense of safety and well-being.
Various recovery facilities such as sports, activities, day programs, treatment, spiritual care, and employment support the recovery process. We work towards an appropriate and as high as possible achievable discharge, such as independent living or protected/sheltered living.
A suitable working environment for you
On the closed ward, care is provided to 20 clients who require (temporary) closed admission as part of their recovery process.
As a supervisor on the closed ward, you are involved from the start in a new and innovative department within a growing clinic.
As a supervisor at the clinic, you always work collaboratively. At GGZ inGeest, you provide structure and care to clients. You supervise, observe, and signal changes in their physical and mental state. You do this not alone, but together with a multidisciplinary team.
This multidisciplinary team consists of activity supervisors, a physician assistant, psychiatrists, doctors, (GZ)-psychologists, dietitian, coordinating nurse/supervisor, cognitive behavioral therapy staff, movement educator, physiotherapist, spiritual caregiver, general practitioner, social worker, personal supervisor, and trajectory supervisors.
The ART method holds no secrets for you, and you see it as a beautiful challenge to coordinate the guidance or care for our clients, so that their treatment and stay at Westerpoort proceeds as pleasantly as possible.
You signal crisis situations and offer support during interventions. You align the care with the team of practitioners and coordinate this in consultation with the client and his or her loved ones. Additionally, you offer support with activities of daily living (ADL), such as personal care and hygiene.
As a Supervisor II, you draw up guidance plans and contribute to treatment plans.
With your expertise, you coordinate the care of a number of clients in the role of personal supervisor. You are the linchpin in the client's trajectory.
You also play an active role in providing guidance and support to other team members such as interns and students.
Also important
You have completed an MBO-4 or HBO education in social community services, Social Work, or a related field.
You will receive a permanent employment contract immediately.
The position is scaled in FWG 45/50 CAO GGZ depending on education and experience.
At GGZ inGeest, we support you in your development, whether it is about deepening expertise, learning new skills, or increasing digital knowledge. You can read how we do this in the general terms and conditions.
