Civil Engineering Technician

-You are an independent civil engineering technician with a customer-oriented attitude;

-Drive and a healthy dose of entrepreneurship characterize you;

-Good planning and organizational skills, combined with creativity and flexibility, are your strengths;

-At least an SPG/ROC education in infra or civil engineering is required;

-Possession of VCA basic;

-You have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Hydraulic Engineering.

• The salary for this position is the gross guaranteed wage according to job group C: €3,398.40 per 4-week period (based on 40 hours), depending on your education and relevant work experience;

• In addition, you can count on a performance bonus per period, depending on your work experience;

• On top of your salary, a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget is added for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (4.51% according to the Construction & Infra collective labor agreement);

• 48 vacation days per year according to the Construction & Infra collective labor agreement. The value of 18 of these days is deposited into the Time Savings Fund;

Collaborating, organizing, and planning. As an independent technician in earthworks, roadworks, and hydraulic engineering, you and your colleagues ensure the precise daily execution of the work. You act as a point of contact for the site manager, coordinating aspects such as progress and planning. In this dynamic role, no two days are the same!

Your duties consist of the following:

-Preparatory work, such as correctly setting up equipment and studying drawings before execution.

-Safety, whereby you ensure compliance with laws and regulations, identify and report deviations, and ensure order and cleanliness on the work floor.

-Earthworks, such as performing manual earthworks, setting out heights, and performing complex (sewer) repairs.

-Reporting, including recording materials used and performing HSE observations.

-Tool management, such as checking, reporting defects, identifying expired inspections, and performing small repairs yourself.

Together with the team, you ensure a successful project. You report your progress directly to the site manager of our projects such as: project Middenmeer Noord- underground and above-ground infra, SOK 2.0- sustainability and cooperation in asphalt maintenance, Linnaeusstraat Amsterdam- underground and above-ground infra, and Havenstraatterrein- demolition, remediation, and site preparation.
