The role
Job Req Number: 125310
Time Type: Full Time
Do you want to combine technology, leadership, and structure in an environment where no two days are the same? As a Facilities Supervisor, you ensure that our warehouses remain safe, reliable, and future-proof, together with a technical team that you lead, connect, and further develop.
What you'll do
Within our facility team, we have a wealth of technical knowledge in-house. Our colleagues know the buildings, installations, and equipment well and are busy daily with maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical tasks. The next step is to bring more structure and cohesion to this. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will outline the broad strokes in this process. You ensure that maintenance is not only carried out when something breaks, but is increasingly organized, monitored, and recorded in a planned manner. You provide oversight of what needs to happen at our locations, set priorities, and ensure that your team is deployed in the right place at the right time: you contribute to making this happen.
How will you do this? You provide direction to daily facility maintenance while simultaneously building a professional, planned way of working. You will achieve this by:
- leading the technical facility team in Venlo and Maastricht and establishing clear priorities, division of tasks, and work agreements; at the same time, you ensure further structure in the preventive and corrective maintenance of our buildings, installations, and assets;
- monitoring the ticket flow and ensuring that reports, malfunctions, and tasks are assessed, distributed, and handled in a consistent manner. Additionally, you will work on further professionalizing our way of working, including in the areas of maintenance registration, drawing management, procedures, and the preparation of a Long-Term Maintenance Plan (MJOP);
- regularly visiting our locations to maintain visibility on the technical state of the buildings, the progress of work, and what is required from operations. You also actively seek collaboration with operations, QHSE, Procurement, Security, and suppliers, and ensure that agreements made are actually executed and followed up;
- ensuring that inspections, testing, and legal obligations, such as NEN 3140, Scope 8 and 12, and sprinkler inspections, are carried out in a timely manner and that outstanding points are followed up;
- developing your team by organizing knowledge sharing, training, and education, and giving employees space to further develop within their field of expertise.
Your team stands out within DSV due to the combination of technical expertise and broad versatility. You work with specialists who know their own site or area of expertise inside out, as well as with colleagues who are flexibly deployed across multiple locations. You have an eye for the individual, bring the different roles together, and turn them into one strong team.
