  • A market-conform salary in accordance with the Metalektro CAO between € 3,500 and € 5,500 gross per month based on full-time, naturally depending on your experience;
  • 40 days off per year with full-time employment (27 vacation days plus 13 ATV);

The role

At De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum, the jewel of the Frisian economy, we build exceptional Feadships - world-class yachts, fully customized and finished to perfection. From our modern shipyard on the IJsselmeer, we proudly work on projects up to 120 meters. Every detail counts, and everyone's craftsmanship contributes to the final result. Together, we realize yachts that garner admiration worldwide - that is your contribution to the construction of a Feadship.

What you'll do

You will work from the Office, which both supports the production departments in realizing their work within time, capacity, and quality standards, and facilitates project teams with shipyard tenders, coordination, and progress. You operate at the intersection of production and projects and work together with department managers, planners, project teams, purchasing, engineering, and support teams. The shipyard consists of the disciplines Metal, Interior Carpentry, Exterior Carpentry, Painting, and Assembly; the interplay between them makes the construction process complex and challenging, and you safeguard the collaboration and progress. You make scope, capacity, and information transparent, monitor schedules, set up work lists and capacity estimates, and manage the expediting process for purchasing items, including coordination with suppliers regarding planning, quality, and budget.

In addition, you independently lead improvement projects, standardize sequences of work and information flows, and translate improvement themes into concrete actions, supported by clear reports and evaluations. This ensures your role remains varied and with plenty of room for you to further develop.

What you bring

In addition, you recognize yourself in the following competencies:

  • HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking;
  • Knowledge and experience in improvement projects within production environments;
  • Demonstrable experience in analyzing and improving logistical and capacity planning.

You have experience with process optimization (knowledge of Lean is a plus) and work proficiently with ERP systems (e.g., Inventive) and MS Office. You are fluent in both Dutch and English.

Our offer

At De Vries Scheepsbouw, you will join an informal, involved, and family-like organization where people are proud of what they build together. Many colleagues have worked here for years and are happy to help each other further.
