You can think of gangways, hatches, and helicopter platforms. These are custom-designed, manufactured, and precisely installed on ships by us.

Technology forms the backbone of every yacht and you see it everywhere. At the design office, the production companies, and the finishing yards. Without technology, no superyacht.

Leading, motivating, and inspiring a team of Fitters. Together with your fellow Team Leaders, you distribute the Fitters between new construction and service activities. What else do you do:

• You plan and organize the work for new construction and service of yacht equipment;
• Keeping an eye on safety, quality, and efficiency;
• Participating in project teams.

You organize the work for new construction and service; you collect and check the correct drawings and information. You do this in such a way that the fitters can perform the work independently at the various locations. Almost every day, you consult with the department manager. Together, you discuss the work you plan and ongoing matters. This collaboration is necessary to identify, discuss, and resolve risks and other obstacles in a timely manner.

By nature, you are upbeat and see opportunities. Additionally, you deal with unforeseen circumstances and changes in a relaxed manner.

The position is based in Leiden.

You are part of a team that currently consists of 5 Team Leaders. The Assembly team is part of the Production department, which consists of a total of 57 employees. A total of about 110 employees work at Akerboom.

You have an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial personality. You take the lead in a natural way and ensure that the equipment is delivered on time. The following knowledge, skills, and qualities will help you to perform the function well:
